Calculating an order from your inputs.
Send to focus timerToday's tasks
The first three tasks are examples. Replace them with your own.
Rate importance and urgency from 1 to 5. Estimate time from 1 to 1,440 minutes.
Compare three real inputs
Try Reply to email (importance 3, urgency 5, 10 minutes), Organize materials (4, 3, 40 minutes) and Practice exercises (4, 2, 30 minutes). The order is email → materials → exercises, with scores of about 4.74, 1.90 and 1.46.
The score is importance × urgency ÷ √minutes. Ties use urgency, then importance, then input order. These are your own ratings. A hard deadline or a prerequisite may matter more than the suggested score.
From a list to one action
- Replace the examples. Enter up to eight tasks, each within 40 characters, importance and urgency from 1–5, and time from 1–1,440 minutes.
- Mark a task complete to keep its row but remove it from the suggested order. Uncheck it to include it again.
- Send the first task to Focus Timer with its name and duration. Tasks longer than 180 minutes are sent as a 180-minute block.
- Copy order includes unfinished task names and estimated minutes. Check for private information before sharing.
Restoring a plan or seeing no suggestions
Inputs and completion states are saved automatically in the same browser, device and language version. There is no cross-device sync. Empty names and completed rows are excluded, so an empty suggested list can mean everything is complete.
If device storage is unavailable, copy the plan before closing the page. Clearing browser data can remove it. Fix a row’s time error before that task can be ranked.
Scope and help
Task Order helps choose a small next step. It does not send deadline alerts, assign team work or synchronize calendars. You remain responsible for deadlines and priorities.
A Focus Timer link sends only the selected duration. Task names stay on this page. If a result looks wrong, send the ratings, duration and expected order. You can hide private task names.
